Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Formal letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Discussion Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.

A research organisation is looking for volunteers to spend one week in a smart home controlled entirely by artificial intelligence. Participants will be asked to evaluate the experience. Write a letter to the project coordinator.

In recent years, many people have started using AI companions and chatbots for friendship, emotional support, and daily conversations. Some people believe this can improve people's lives, while others think it may harm real human relationships. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
