Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Formal letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Direct Question Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
Your city plans to create a "Quiet Hour" every evening in public places, during which loud music, advertising screens, and unnecessary noise will be reduced. Residents are invited to give feedback. Write a letter to the city council.
In your letter:

Many people today know more about celebrities and online influencers than they do about important historical figures. Why is this happening? Is this a positive or negative development?
