Frequently Asked Questions
No prior knowledge is required. The course begins at A1, your very first German word, and progresses level by level up to Goethe B2. A free diagnostic assessment at the start identifies your current level and maps it against your Germany visa or study goal before you enrol.
The Beginner plan (INR 14,999) covers A1 + A2 levels over 4 months and is ideal for building your German foundation from scratch. The Advanced plan (INR 69,999) covers the complete A1–B2 pathway over 9 months and is designed for students targeting a migration-ready Goethe B2 certification.
The course is Goethe exam-focused throughout every level, with aligned mock tests and speaking simulations. Goethe B2 certification is the minimum entry requirement for most German public universities, and B1–B2 proficiency is mandatory for the skilled worker visa, making your course completion directly visa-relevant.
Classes are live online, conducted by certified instructors with 10+ years of experience. TerraTern offers evening and weekend batches, making it fully compatible with working professionals and students, delivering the same depth as an in-person class with added flexibility
Each level has a structured hour commitment, A1 and A2 require 40 hours each, B1 requires 60 hours, and B2 requires 80 hours. Every level includes live classes, writing evaluations, speaking drills, and Goethe-aligned mock tests with doubt-clearing sessions.
Yes, TerraTern's Custom plan lets you choose individual levels (A1, A2, B1, or B2 only) with flexible timings and a personalised price. This is ideal if you have already cleared a lower level or only need certification at a specific stage for your visa or employer requirement.
