Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is an Informal letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
A friend of yours has decided to organise a "No-Spending Weekend", where they will not buy anything for two days. They have invited you to join them. Write a letter to your friend.
In your letter:

Suggest activities that do not require spending money.

Explain why you think the experience would (or would not) be worthwhile.
IELTS Writing Task 2
Some people believe that people should stop celebrating personal achievements, such as birthdays, graduations and promotions, on social media because it encourages unnecessary comparison and competition. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.
