Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is an Informal letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
A close friend of yours has decided to take a break from social media for one month. They have asked you for ideas on how to spend their free time without using their phone. Write a letter to your friend.
In your letter:

Tell your friend why you think taking a break from social media is a good idea.

Suggest some interesting activities they could do during the month.

Invite them to do one activity together.
IELTS Writing Task 2
Some people believe that every person should learn how to repair common household items, such as furniture, bicycles or electrical appliances, instead of always replacing them or paying someone else to fix them. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.
