Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Formal Letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
You recently attended a public seminar organised by your local council on environmental protection. Although you found the event informative, you believe several improvements could make future seminars more effective. Write a letter to the council's event coordinator.
In your letter:

Explain why you attended the seminar.

IELTS Writing Task 2
Some people believe that every adult should spend a few hours each month teaching or sharing a skill with others in their community without being paid. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.
