Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Formal letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
You recently visited a museum in your city. While you enjoyed the visit, you noticed several issues that affected your overall experience. Write a letter to the museum director.
In your letter:
- Explain why you are writing.
- Describe the problems you experienced during your visit.
- Suggest what the museum could do to improve its services.
IELTS Writing Task 2
Some people think that learning how to cook should be a compulsory subject in schools. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.
Write at least 250 words.
