Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Formal letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Positive/Negative Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
You recently stayed at a hotel during a business trip and were dissatisfied with the service you received. Write a letter to the hotel manager.
In your letter:

IELTS Writing Task 2
In many parts of the world, shopping centres are no longer simply places where people buy essential goods. Instead, they have become popular destinations where people spend their free time, socialise with friends and seek entertainment. Do you think this is a positive or negative development? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.
Write at least 250 words.
