Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Semi- Formal letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
You have been experiencing a problem with your next-door neighbour's small dog, which barks continuously during both the day and the night. Write a letter to your neighbour requesting that something be done about the dog.
In your letter:
- Explain why you are writing.
- Describe how the barking is affecting you.
- Suggest what you would like your neighbour to do about the situation.
IELTS Writing Task 2
In some countries today, there is an attitude that "anyone can do it" in the arts - music, literature, acting, etc. As a result, people with no talent become rich and famous and genuine talent is not valued or appreciated. Do you agree or disagree?
Write at least 250 words.
