Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Diagram on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic that you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
The diagram below shows how a central heating system in a house works. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
IELTS Writing Task 2
The government should provide free public transportation facilities 24/7 to reduce traffic congestion. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.
