Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Bar Chart on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Positive/Negative Essay topic that you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.

The chart below shows the number of men and women in further education in Britain in three periods and whether they were studying full-time or part-time. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
IELTS Writing Task 2
Governments and private organisations often spend large amounts of money on sporting competitions, concerts, festivals and other cultural events. Do you think this is a positive or negative use of money? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Write at least 250 words.
