Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Pie Chart on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Discussion Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
The pie charts show electricity generation in Germany and France from all sources and from renewables in the year 2009. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
IELTS Writing Task 2
A growing number of people feel that animals should not be exploited by humans and should have the same rights as humans, while others argue that humans must use animals to meet their various needs, including food and research. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Write at least 250 words.
