Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Line Graph And Bar Graph on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Problem-Solution Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
The line graph shows visits to and from the UK from 1979 to 1999, and the bar graph shows the most popular countries visited by UK residents in 1999. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
IELTS Writing Task 2
An increasing number of professionals, such as doctors and teachers, are leaving their own poorer countries to work in developed countries. What problems does this cause? What solutions can you suggest to deal with this situation?
Write at least 250 words.
