Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Bar Chart on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
The bar chart shows the scores of teams A, B and C over four different seasons. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
IELTS Writing Task 2
Air traffic is increasingly leading to more noise, pollution, and airport construction. One reason for this is the growth in low-cost passenger flights, often to holiday destinations.
Some people say that the government should try to reduce air traffic by taxing it more heavily.
Do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.
