Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Bar Chart on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
The chart shows components of GDP in the UK from 1992 to 2000. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and making comparisons where relevant.
Write at least 150 words.
IELTS Writing Task 2
Smoking not only harms the smoker but also those who are nearby. Therefore, smoking should be banned in public places. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.
Write at least 250 words.
