Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is an Informal letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Direct Question Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.

Your friend has been offered the opportunity to spend three months travelling on a research ship that will visit several countries. Write a letter to your friend.
In your letter:

IELTS Writing Task 2
Many people today spend more time improving their online identity than improving their real-life skills and relationships. Why is this happening? Is this a positive or negative development?
Write at least 250 words.
