Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is an Informal letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree and Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
You recently spent a weekend at a friend's house. After returning home, you realised that you had left your coat there. The coat contains some important belongings.
Write a letter to your friend.
In your letter:
- Describe the coat you left behind
- Explain where you think you may have left it
- Suggest some ways of getting it back
IELTS Writing Task 2
The world would be a much poorer place without colour. To what extent would you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.
Write at least 250 words.
