Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Formal Letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Discussion Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.

Some people think it’s a good idea to socialise with work colleagues in the evenings and on weekends. Other people think it’s important to keep working life completely separate from social life. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.
