Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Semi-Formal letter, which you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.

Five months ago, you started renting an apartment on a six-month agreement. You now wish to stay in the apartment for longer than the six months you originally agreed with the owner.
Write a letter to the owner of your apartment.

It is not necessary to travel to other places to learn about other people's cultures. We can just learn much from books, films and the internet . Do you agree or disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.
Write at least 250 words.
