Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Semi- Formal Letter, which you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
Your rental accommodation was recently damaged due to bad weather.
Write a letter to the landlord and say:
- Explain what caused the damage.
- Why do you need them to fix the problem right away?
- What needs to be done to fix it?
IELTS Writing Task 2
Life was better when technology was simpler. To what extent do you agree and disagree?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.
Write at least 250 words.
