Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Semi-formal Letter, which you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.

You live in a block of flats, and your neighbour makes a lot of noise, which has caused problems
for you. Write a letter to your landlord.
In your letter, you should:

IELTS Writing Task 2
Governments should be responsible for funding and controlling scientific research rather than private organisations. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.
Write at least 250 words.
