Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Semi-formal Letter, which you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Problem/Solution Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
You recently attended a professional workshop that was highly beneficial. You want to recommend it to your colleagues and ask the HR department to arrange the same workshop for your team.
Write a letter to your HR Manager.
In your letter:
- Explain the purpose of the workshop
- Describe how it helped you
- Suggest why it would be useful for your team
Write at least 150 words in about 20 minutes.
