A. I mainly use my smartphone and laptop. They help me stay connected, manage my schedule, and access information instantly. I also use wireless earbuds quite often when commuting.

Cue Card
Describe a piece of technology that has changed your life.

- What is the technology?
- How do you use it?
- How has it changed your life?
- And explain why it is important to you
Sample Answer:
The piece of technology that has truly transformed my life is my smartphone. I use it for almost everything, from managing work tasks and communicating with colleagues to online banking, reading news, and entertainment. It has basically become an essential tool in my daily life. Before smartphones became common, I used to rely on multiple devices and paper planners to stay organised. Now, everything I need is in one place, which has simplified my routine and helped me save a lot of time. I can set reminders, track my schedule, and complete tasks efficiently without switching between different tools.
This device is particularly important to me because it allows me to stay connected with people instantly and gives me access to almost endless information. I can learn something new, solve problems, or communicate with friends and family anytime, anywhere. Of course, I try to use it mindfully to avoid becoming overly dependent, but overall, it has made my life much more convenient and organised. In short, my smartphone is more than just a gadget; it’s a powerful tool that has changed the way I work, learn, and connect with others.

IELTS Speaking Part 3
Q. How has technology affected education?
A. Technology has completely revolutionised education. Students can now access online resources, attend virtual classes, and use interactive tools that make learning more engaging and flexible.
Q. What are the disadvantages of relying too much on technology?
A. Overreliance can reduce face-to-face interaction and critical thinking skills. It can also create distractions and widen the gap between those who have access to technology and those who don’t.
Q. How do you think technology will evolve in the next 10 years?
A. I believe we’ll see even greater integration of artificial intelligence and automation in daily life. Education, healthcare, and transportation will become smarter and more efficient, though ethical and privacy issues will remain a concern.
Q. Can technology improve communication between people?
A. Absolutely. Technology allows people to connect instantly across the globe through social media, video calls, and messaging apps. It also helps maintain relationships despite distance, making communication more convenient. However, it’s important to balance online interaction with face-to-face communication to maintain emotional bonds.
Q. Do you think technology makes life more stressful or easier?
A. I think it does both. Technology makes life easier by automating tasks, providing instant information, and improving productivity. On the other hand, it can also be stressful, as constant notifications and the pressure to stay connected can lead to anxiety. The key is using technology mindfully rather than letting it control your life.
