Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Semi-Formal Letter, which you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Advantages/Disadvantages Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
Although you are meant to present your thesis project in one month, your sister is getting married in Spain at the same time. You would like to change the dates for your presentation. Write a letter to your professor.
In your letter:
- Explain the situation
- Remind the professor of your academic achievements to date
- Ask for a different date to present your thesis
IELTS Writing Task 2
The threats of nuclear weapons maintain world peace. Nuclear power provides cheap, clean energy. The benefits of nuclear technology far outweigh the disadvantages. Do you agree or disagree?
Write at least 250 words.
