Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is an Informal Letter, which you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
Your sibling has sent you a letter asking for an update on your life. Write a letter to your sibling.
In your letter:
- Describe what you did for your last birthday
- Ask for photos of your sibling’s last holiday
- Talk about something you are looking forward to
IELTS Writing Task 2
Extreme sports such as skydiving and rock climbing are very dangerous and should be banned. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this view? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.
Write at least 250 words.
