Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is an Informal Letter, which you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
You have broken your leg.
Write a letter to your classmate:
- Thank him for the card and the presents you received,
- Explain what you are doing in your free time,
- How have you been recovering?
IELTS Writing Task 2
The government should provide free 24/7 public transportation to reduce traffic congestion. To what extent do you agree or disagree? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own experience or knowledge.
Write at least 250 words.
