Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Formal letter that you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Positive/Negative Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
Write a letter to a newspaper editor about the poor condition of a historic building in your area.
In the letter, you should say
- What building are you writing about?
- Describe the current condition of the building.
- What should be done in this situation?
IELTS Writing Task 2
Nowadays, more and more tasks at home and at work are being performed by robots. Why do you think it’s happening? Is it a negative or positive development?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
