Key Highlights
This IELTS General Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Semi-formal letter, which you need to write in at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Agree/Disagree Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
You recently attended a short course at a local college. After finishing, of course, you realised that you had left some important documents at the college.
Write a letter to the course instructor.
In your letter:
- Describe the documents you left behind
- Explain why they are important
- Ask the instructor what you should do to get them back
IELTS Writing Task 2
Some people believe that children should be given homework every day, while others argue that daily homework is unnecessary. Do you agree or disagree?
