Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Process Diagram on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Discussion Essay topic that you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
The diagrams below show the life cycle of the silkworm and the stages in the production of silk cloth. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
IELTS Writing Task 2
In some cities, local authorities are investing heavily in cycling infrastructure and encouraging residents to use bicycles instead of cars. While some people welcome this change, others believe it creates more problems than benefits. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.
Write at least 250 words.
