Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Bat Chart on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Advantage-Disadvantage Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.

The chart below gives information about the UK’s ageing population in 1985 and makes predictions for 2035. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Some people believe that a significant age difference between parents and children is beneficial. Do you think the advantages of a greater age difference between them outweigh the disadvantages?
Write at least 250 words.
