Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Diagram on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Discussion Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. Spend about 20 minutes on Task 1 and about 40 minutes on Task 2.
IELTS Writing Task 1
The diagram below shows the development of cutting tools in the Stone Age. One was made 1.4 million years ago, and the other was made 800 thousand years ago (viewing from back view, front view, and side view). Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
IELTS Writing Task 2
Some companies sponsor sports and athletes to advertise themselves. Some people think it is good, while others think there are disadvantages. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
