Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Table-Pie Chart on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes an Opinion-Based Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.

The table below shows the number of visitors to Ashdown Museum in the year before and the year after its refurbishment. The charts show the result of surveys asking visitors how satisfied they were with their visit during the same two periods. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Some people claim that not enough household waste is recycled. They say that the only way to increase recycling is for governments to make it a legal requirement. To what extent do you think laws are needed to make people recycle more of their waste?
Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
