Key Highlights
This IELTS Academic Writing Test consists of 2 tasks. Task 1 is a Bar Chart on which you need to write a report of at least 150 words. Task 2 includes a Discussion Essay topic, which you need to write in 250 words. You need 20 minutes for Task 1 and 40 minutes for Task 2.

The bar chart below shows the top 10 countries by electricity production and consumption in 2014. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

IELTS Writing Task 2
Human activity has had a negative effect on plants and animals all over the world. Some people think that it is too late to do something about it. Others think that there is still time to take effective action. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.
Write at least 250 words.
