This IELTS Speaking Practice Test has 3 Sections. In Part 1, you will be asked questions for 4- 5 minutes about Water and Health by your examiner. In Part 2, you will be given a cue card for a monologue of 2 minutes based on the topic Describe An Occasion When You Were Surprised To Meet Someone You Know, followed by more in-depth questions for another 4-5 minutes based on the cue card in Part 3. Overall, the speaking test takes 15 minutes.

Q1. How often do you drink water?
A. I drink water every day without fail. Staying hydrated is very important for me because I tend to get headaches if I don’t drink enough. It also helps me with my fitness and weight management goals, so I make it a priority.
Q2. What kind of water do you like to drink?
A. I don’t have a strict preference; I enjoy all kinds of water. Most of the time, I drink tap water filtered through a Brita, but occasionally I have bottled water. I usually carry a refillable water bottle with me throughout the day.
Q3. Do you drink bottled water or water from water machines?
A. I generally prefer bottled water. Although tap water is safe in my country, I like to filter it for better taste. If filtered water isn’t available, I buy bottled water, although I try to limit this for environmental reasons.
Q4. Do you like to play in water?
A. Absolutely! I find it really fun and refreshing. One of the best feelings is jumping into a cold pool on a hot summer day—it’s a perfect way to relax and unwind.
Q5. Do you think drinking water at regular intervals is important for health?
A. Yes, definitely. Drinking water regularly keeps the body hydrated, flushes out toxins, and helps maintain energy levels. I think it’s one of the simplest and most effective ways to stay healthy.

A couple of days ago, I unexpectedly ran into a high school classmate whom I hadn’t seen since we graduated. I was walking along the street when I noticed him standing outside a restaurant. He hadn’t changed at all, so I recognised him immediately. I went up and said hello, but it took him a moment to realise that I was his old classmate. At first, it felt a little awkward, but soon we started catching up, talking about our jobs, our families, and exchanging phone numbers. We promised to keep in touch in the future.
I was genuinely surprised because we hadn’t seen each other for years, and I didn’t expect to bump into him at all. Although we didn’t have much time to chat since we were both in a hurry, it felt really nice to reconnect. If we had more time, I’m sure we would have spent hours reminiscing about all the crazy things we did back in high school.

A. Not necessarily. Women in my country often focus more on the health of their husbands and children than on their own. However, they generally avoid habits that could seriously affect their own well-being.

A. Yes, definitely! Many people have become more health-conscious, which is a positive trend. This may be influenced by celebrities who promote healthy lifestyles and by people’s desire to live long, illness-free lives.
